“Let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.” Psalm 96:12
Both Adisham and Barham CEPs explored what takes place during the Coronation especially with 'The Oath' and 'The Anointing' and how in the Bible King David and King Solomon anointed by Samuel and Zadok
Remembering Jesus as we go into Easter as the Great Shepherd
Celebrating Mothering Sunday with our children in school and services
Celebrating Christingles at Candlemas and learning about Ash Weds as the beginning of Lent
Celebrating the coming Christ
During the Advent Season and with Term 2 drawing to an end our wonderful schools produced several nativity and carol services at St John's and Holy Innocents, plus students joining in out crib service on Christmas Eve
Remembering those who died for our nation
They shall grow not old, as we that are
left grow old;
age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
Where do we remember them?
At the Cenotaph in London but also war memorials
and churches in our villages.
Knowing a good and faithful friend no matter the circumstance
A Friend Loves At All Times (Proverbs 17:17)
Celebrating the Harvest
The Joys of the seasons and in thankfulness from the first seed, water, nurture, care, harvesting, packing, sending and for us to buy
kingdom is like what happens when a farmer scatters seed in a
field. The farmer sleeps at night and is
up and around during the day. Yet the seeds keep sprouting and growing, and
he doesn't understand how.

Ashing on Ash Wednesday
We welcomed Year 6's from Barham CEP to St-John-the-Baptist for a short service for Ash Wednesday. Also KS2 students of Adisham CEP held their service in school. At both services we explored the origins of Ash Weds and Lent. Students were given the option to recieve the sign of the cross (either on their forehead or on the back of their hand) with ashes from last year Palm Sunday Crosses.
Celebrating Christingle on Candlemas Day
We welcomed Year 3's from Barham CEP to St-John-the-Baptist in a service of word, prayer and song and in putting together the Christingles which were lit during the service. We heard a reading from Luke 2 of Simeon and Anna greeting Jesus as Saviour of the world and there was good singing... and munching!
We welcomed Foxgloves (Yr5/6) from Adisham CEP to Holy Innocents where we heard about Jesus being presented in the Temple and well read by Brook. Great fun in making and lighting our Christingles in reminding us of Christ as the Light of the World.
Barham & Adisham Carol Services were held behind closed doors due to the increase of Covid infections, so the Church came to them to help celebrate the Christmas Message
How does an Image inspire us?
Survey & Pilgrimage

On the 2nd July we had a wonderful day with Years 5&6 from Adisham Primary and Year 3 from Barham Primary exploring the church and churchyards of Holy Innocents and St John the Baptist in discovering not just the ecology of flora and fauna but of historical detail including medieval graffiti!
Year 4 from Barham Primary were on pilgrimage to St Giles and St Mary-the-Virgin exploring the churches and the tombs and vaults around them.
Trinity Sunday (30th May)
How do we think of God as the Father, God as the Son and God the Holy Spirit?
Some times we just need to let our imaginations meet with the mystery of God our Creator, Jesus who Saves Us and the Holy Spirit who sustains us - but always God.
Pentecost (23rd May)
Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire which spread out and touched each person. Can fire and winds remind us of the Holy Spirit within and around us?

Ascension Day (13th May)
Our helium balloon became our prayer vehicle to heaven with students from Adisham CEP able to write their prayers to our Ascended Lord.
They said nothing to anyone. Have you ever tried to keep a secret when you really wanted to tell for joy? Looking at the Easter Garden.
